Oct. 25, 2011 – Millennium Physician Group will open its brand new, state-of-the-art Women’s Center on Monday. Oct. 31. 

Millennium has now added two of the latest digital mammogram machines that will allow for more appointments and decrease patient wait times. With the very latest in digital mammography technology and a new spa atmosphere, this new Center will offer much more in regards to quality and convenience for patients scheduled for mammograms, ultrasounds and bone density scans.

“Millennium’s Women’s Center now provides the latest in state-of-the-art mammography technology with a mammography unit that has a larger field of view,” says Kelly Gausepohl, Imaging Services Manager. “This gives our radiologists the best results to view our patient’s images and notice if there are any changes within their breast tissue.”

Millennium’s Women Center will continue to a service that has meant so much to our patients over the years.  Millennium’s radiologists are always on-site to view our patient’s films just moments after his or her mammogram.   “Having our radiologists on-site to view the tests ensures that our patients know their results almost immediately,” says Gausepohl.

And what if a patient needs further testing or a biopsy?  Millennium’s radiologists are able to provide those further treatments at our Center on the same-day as their mammogram. “Our patients do not have to wait for days to schedule the next procedure if something shows up on their mammogram,” says Gausepohl. “Our radiologists can immediately perform a biopsy and our patients leave knowing all the answers to their questions.”

“With our expert radiologists and staff members, we have developed a program that focuses on alleviating anxiety and obtaining a prompt diagnosis for our patients,” says Geurt Peet, Chief Executive Officer for Millennium Physician Group.

“We know that often our patients go for a mammogram and they are terrified of a possible breast cancer diagnosis.  This new Center will greatly improve the care that we are able to provide for our patients and ensure that we get their results to them much faster,” says Gausepohl.

Millennium Physician Group is planning an Open House event for community members to tour the new Women’s Center on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to Noon.
